Prof. Philippe Kolh

Prof. Philippe Kolh is a medical doctor and a cardiovascular surgeon. He authored more than 300 scientific publications, won numerous awards and prices and gave more than 200 lectures around the world. He is now Professor at the University of Liege (BE) and Chief Information Officer of the University Hospital of Liege. The hospital is internationally known as one of the two Belgian hospitals that reached the level 6 of the EMRAM scale (HIMSS Analytics). Philippe Kolh is President of the Scientific Committee of the Digital Health Community (Patient Numérique) since 2008.

Dr Thierry Vermeeren

Dr Thierry Vermeeren is Doctor of Philosophy (UCLouvain, BE). He held several executive roles, especially Chief Information Officer and Member of the Board of the Belgian employment administration (FOREM) for 10 years. He creates his consulting company in 2008. OZConsulting is specialized in the healthcare sector and the digital transformation of hospitals. Thierry Vermeeren is also Chief Community Officer of the “Patient Numérique” Community and act as a lecturer and teacher in the field of Digital Health in Belgium and abroad. He is now leading 150SoH project, an international research project that creates the 1st Europe Top 150 Digital Health Disruption Radar.

Dr David Gruson

Dr David Gruson holds a PhD in Health law as well as a post-graduate degree in Information and Communication technologies. He held several executive roles, especially Counsellor of the Prime Minister in charge of Health and Economy, General Manager of the University Hospital of La Réunion and General Delegate for the French Hospitals Federation. He founded Ethik-IA that aims to create positive regulations for artificial intelligence and robotics in healthcare. Since 2019, he has been Director of Health program at Jouve. He authored “S.A.R.R.A. An artificial intelligence”, the first bioethics novel published in June 2018, “The Machine, The Doctor and I”, a summary on artificial intelligence in healthcare published in November 2018 and “The revolution of health data processing: judicial, ethical and managerial issues” (collective work, May 2019).

Dr Pascal Poty

Dr Pascal Poty is involved in the mobile telecommunication sector for more than 20 years. He is now Manager of the Technological watch division at the Agency for Digital in Belgium, which leads the Digital Wallonia strategy. Pascal Poty gives lectures regarding the evolution of digital technologies on a regular basis and organizes the M-Forum, the oldest event dedicated to mobile technologies in French-speaking parts of Belgium. He is also visiting professor in several Universities in Belgium and France. In 2015, he published “The mobile instant: 2 minutes to convince your mobile client” (Edipro).

Dr Arnaud Depil-Duval

Dr Arnaud Depil-Duval is an emergency Doctor since 2005 and defines himself as a “geek” for a very long time. In his health daily practice, he tries to combine new technologies and patient care. He was head of emergency department for more than 15 years. He has decided to set aside this position in order to focus fully on digital innovation and health. Arnaud Depil-Duval is currently developing particularly innovative projects at Lariboisière Hospital in Paris.

Dr Damien Dietrich

After an initial training in internal medicine and a MD thesis in cytokine immunology, Dr. Damien Dietrich worked and specialized in eHealth at Antoine Geissbühler‘s eHealth and Telemedicine Division (Geneva University Hospitals) and Prof. Antoine Flahault’s Institute of Global Health (Faculty of Medicine, University of Geneva) where he led and participated to several projects. In 2018 he was appointed as Chief Digital Officer at Hôpitaux Robert Schuman where is in charge of executing the digital transformation strategy and managing the department of digitalization.

Dr Iris Öhrn

Dr Iris Öhrn studied biochemistry at the University of Havana before moving to Sweden. She holds a PhD in Biomedical research from the University of Göteborg. Iris spent some years working in Spain and Ireland before embracing several positions in business development in Sweden, as well as roles at the European level. Iris Öhrn is Member of Health and Investment Committee at OECD and Jury member at EIC Accelerator (European Commission). She is currently Investment advisor for life science and healthcare at Business Region Göteborg, which is one of the Nordic’s most dynamic and fastest growing life science hubs

Prof. Philippe Coucke

Prof. Philippe Coucke accomplished his medical degree at the State University of Ghent Belgium in 1984, and was trained in radiation oncology at the University Hospital of Ghent and Besançon in France. He became senior member of the staff at the University Hospital in Lausanne (CHUV), Switzerland where he obtained the Academical degree of “Privat Docent & Maître d’Enseignement et de Recherche”. In 2005, he was appointed as head of the Department of Radiotherapy at Hospital Maisonneuve Rosemont, Montreal Canada and as Clinical Professor at the University of Montreal. In 2006, he took over the leadership of the Department of Radiotherapy at the University Hospital in Liège and became Professor of Radiation Therapy at the same university. More recently, he has a special interest in the link between disruptive technology and societal changes and gives numerous lectures on the subject. In 2019, he published “The Medicine of the Future: Those Technologies that already Save us” (Mardaga).
