The 3D-Side technology and process allow for the optimal design, production and placement of patient-specific instruments and implants for surgery operations. The main purpose of the solution is to make precise and just-in-time design and production of those devices possible and top provide surgeons with real-time adaptive tools and visual assistance.

It was created by Gregory Nolens, a biomedical engineer with extensive experience in 3D printing. Cerhum is equipped with a technology allowing to print ceramics. The challenge for the company lies in the production time of the grafts which can be relatively long since each piece is unique and completely personalized. Cerhum decided to work with 3DSide's Customize platform which allows them to shorten production time and to benefit from a privileged communication channel with the surgeons.
